{"id":5755,"date":"2020-05-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-06T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.riocom.at\/exploratory-surveys-at-the-danube\/"},"modified":"2023-04-19T21:13:01","modified_gmt":"2023-04-19T19:13:01","slug":"exploratory-surveys-at-the-danube","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.riocom.at\/en\/exploratory-surveys-at-the-danube\/","title":{"rendered":"Exploratory Surveys at the Danube"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/riocom.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/20_02_Bodenerkundung_Haslau_01_hoch.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/riocom.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/20_02_Bodenerkundung_Haslau_01_hoch-820x490.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4624\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We create optimal foundations for a sustainable planning on the Danube<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be able to optimally advance the planning of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.viadonau.org\/en\/company\/project-database\/dynamic-life-lines-danube\">river renaturation project \u201cHaslau-Regelsbrunn\u201d<\/a> on the Lower Austrian Danube, exploratory surveys were carried out on the Danube\u2019s embankment protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim was to gather information on the extent and composition of the massive stone structures in the Donau-Auen National Park. Some of these structures have been separating the Danube&#8217;s main river from its tributaries for over 150 years and are partly covered by several metres of fine sand that the Danube has deposited here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the project, a dynamically flowing floodplain landscape shall be restored and the Danube shall be freed from its tight corset a little.
